If we don't find a way to slow down, disconnect and bring balance to our bodies and minds, we will pay a heavy price. Our breathing has become shallow and quick. Most of us only use 20-30% of our lung capacity. Our brains use 20% of the oxygen we breathe. Dr. Arthur Guyton, author of the Textbook of Medical Physiology, said "All chronic pain, suffering and disease are caused by a lack of oxygen at the cellular level." I offer individual and group breathing classes. My clients are all ages, children to the elderly. Some clients purchase a 3-session package to learn/practice the various breathing exercises with a goal of transitioning them into their own daily practice.
